Westview Class of 2008

In his sophomore year at Westview High School Garrett was already a lifelong practitioner and student of the arts. Ever focused on creative endeavours, it was no surprise that he jumped at the opportunity to enroll in the first Graphic Design course to be offered at Westview.

The course truly changed his life. The integration of Art, Technology, and real-world Business lessons were everything a young and ambitious student would need. The values and fundamentals that Garrett learned in Mr.Nacu’s class would benefit him for the rest of his life.

While in college he founded a network of websites that catered to the users of competitive online video games. For a few years he designed, built, and learned his away around the web business portion of the online gaming industry.

Connections were made, an offer was extended and Garrett shortly found himself working at a Game Development Studio in Atlanta Georgia. Once there he was able to thrive. As a Product Manager and Producer Garrett was able to instigate and oversee a full modernization of his company's web properties. His dedication to excellence and talent was not overlooked. After some time Garrett was given the opportunity to move to the game development team. Their he has the privilege of working as a Game Designer for one of the most played free-to-play titles of 2016.

The lifelong benefit that Garrett will ultimately receive from his time at Westview is immeasurable. He is thankful from the bottom of his heart for Mr.Nacu, Mr. Opstad, and every other teacher who dedicates themselves to inspiring the passions and dreams of today's students.
